Gîte de groupe du Viaduc des Fades

This gîte consists of a large livingroom with kitchen-corner, seperate toilet and bathroom, three bedrooms and a private terrace.

In the late fifties, an extra restaurant room was added, due to more demands for a location to celebrate weddings and other parties. It’s on the first floor with windows all around to really enjoy the spectacular view on the bridge and lake. It's full size now makes a spacious living room with kitchen corner.

From the living room, doors open up to a private terrace that catches the first rays of sunlight in the morning. The best place to enjoy breakfast. In summertime the sun stays here until the late afternoon. This room exists already 50 years, but to locals this will always be 'La Nouvelle Salle', the new room. Now, fully restored it's again well-worth it's name. At the dining table there's room for six people. You can play music on the cd/mp3 player, watch French TV from the antenna and international channels from the satellite. There's also a dvd player with some films in English and French films with English subtitles.

But the best picture you get just looking out the window. It's really amazing to see the fog lift up out of the valley in the morning and see another beautiful cloudless sky appear. And the evenings the bridge is lit to midnight. 

From the livingroom, through a small passage you step into the side of the old hotel where you have a toilet, bathroom and three bedrooms. A small bedroom with a single bed en two bigger rooms on the second floor with both double beds. All rooms face towards the bridge to make the same view from each window. All the rooms are well insulated to keep it cool in summertime and warm on colder days. There’s a wood burner in the living room and radiators in the bathroom and bedrooms. This way the house can also be enjoyed off season.
